Midfielder Salim Adams <\/strong><\/span>held his nerve from the penalty spot to earn Medeama SC<\/strong><\/span> a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Bechem United<\/strong><\/span> in a gripping Premier League encounter at Nana Gyeabour Park <\/strong><\/span>on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite Medeama controlling large spells of the game and creating the better chances, it was the hosts who struck first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Veteran forward Augustine Okrah capped a swift counter-attacking move in the 69th minute, expertly finishing from Yaw Annor\u2019s pinpoint cross to hand Bechem United the lead. His jubilant celebration, however, earned him a yellow card after removing his shirt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Medeama had threatened throughout and came close moments earlier when Salim Adams\u2019 trademark free kick forced a fine save from goalkeeper Emmanuel Anning in the 62nd minute. Kingsley Braye also nearly broke the deadlock, reacting quickest on a counter-attack but seeing his effort dramatically cleared off the line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With time running out, Medeama\u2019s persistence finally paid off. A late foul on Prince Owusu inside the box presented a golden opportunity, and Salim Adams stepped up confidently to convert the penalty, restoring parity and ensuring the visitors left with a deserved point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
