Asante Kotoko defender Lord Amoah has successfully undergone surgery after suffering a serious anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury, ending his season prematurely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The right-back, who joined the Porcupine Warriors from Berekum Chelsea, has been sidelined since March after picking up the injury during a Ghana Premier League Matchday 23 clash against Young Apostles. Despite his early exit, Kotoko went on to secure a 2-0 away win in that fixture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following the procedure, the club confirmed that the operation was successful and that Amoah will now begin an intensive rehabilitation programme under the guidance of the team\u2019s medical staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The setback is a major blow for both player and club, as Amoah had established himself as one of Kotoko\u2019s most dependable performers this season. His impressive form even sparked conversations about a potential Black Stars call-up before the injury halted his progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
