Antoine Semenyo says he has developed a strong appetite for winning silverware after lifting the first major trophy of his career, describing the experience as both surreal and addictive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 26-year-old, who joined City in January, has quickly become an important figure in the squad, contributing eight goals in 20 appearances and playing a key role in the team\u2019s improved form during the second half of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His standout moment so far came at Wembley, where City defeated Arsenal to win their ninth League Cup title, with Semenyo experiencing a career milestone as he climbed the steps to collect his first winners\u2019 medal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking in the Premier League\u2019s Big Interview<\/em> series, Semenyo admitted the move was driven by his desire to compete for trophies at the highest level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIt\u2019s a massive club, competing for trophies every year,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019ve never been in a team that\u2019s competed and I hadn\u2019t had the feeling of winning trophies before. I want to do that on a consistent basis.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Reflecting on the emotional Wembley occasion, he added: \u201cI couldn\u2019t believe what was happening after winning the cup final, walking up the steps at Wembley.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Semenyo also praised the support he has received since joining the club, highlighting the role of the coaching staff and senior players in helping him settle quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cA lot has gone into my start at City,\u201d he said. \u201cThe manager has helped me a lot, the assistants and the players have made it easy for me.
