Despite the incomplete paperwork, the experienced Portuguese tactician has already begun work, embarking on a European tour where he met team captain Jordan Ayew and deputy Thomas Partey shortly after his unveiling. He also monitored locally-based players during Black Galaxies friendlies at the Accra Sports Stadium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking on Asempa FM, Adams explained that although there is an agreement in principle, the final contract has not been signed, making it difficult to confirm full financial details.
\u201cI will check the figures because we have not finalised and signed everything, but it\u2019s not up to $100,000,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The minister noted that the urgency of Ghana\u2019s preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup\u2014less than two months away\u2014necessitated swift action to secure a coach with proven experience at the highest level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Adams, the agreement is based on a short-term arrangement of up to four months, covering the duration of the tournament, with any extension dependent on performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
